Water Classrooms: Musée de l'eau

As a part of the AQUAMUSE project, funded by IHE Delft (2024 to 2026), Musee de l’Eau (Burkina Faso) and Living Waters Museum (India) created teaching plans under the vertical - Water Classrooms - Burkina faso edition. These teaching plans are aimed at teachers and facilitators engaging children 11 to 15 years of age and can be used in formal or informal learning spaces.

A poster presented by team members of the Aquamuse project from Musée de l'eau at the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU+NET) annual conference in Brasília, Brazil, in November 2025.Through experiences from India and Burkina Faso, this poster illustrates how museum-based water education can remain fluid - adapting its content, methods, and learning journeys to local contexts while supporting holistic and multidimensional understandings of water. The work is guided by a learning progression that moves from personal experiences and social relationships with water to systems' understanding and planetary challenges, enabling contextual yet overlapping approaches across diverse water worlds.
